Blog post 11/8/18
Hey y’all I know that it’s been a while since I’ve wrote a blog post due to the fact that I haven’t been able to come to GET City cause of work. But I’m back now and I’m gonna be writing some more good blogs for y’all. So today the GET City members are making their own DIY projects that are good for the environment and the community. It’s the Duct tape Hacker Challenge with paint, duct tape, card board, and anything recyclable. Some of the kids are using fabric and a sewing machine to make their projects. So far I’ve saw someone making a pillow case. Also someone is making a trash can with a water bottle which I think is pretty cool! I’ve never saw someone come up with that idea before. So far from my first day bro at get city I’ve definitely have missed being here, and I love that I am able to keep coming back cause I love seeing all the new get city members learn new things and there are more new members this year then any other year! GET City is the best place for kids to learn new things, and I always love teaching kids new things. Even though I spent 9 years in GET City I’ll still come back and help when ever I can. It’s one of my happy places since I started in 5th grade.
Here I am helping M make her pillow!
