This semester we are investigating the new energy initiative called “Change a Light, Change Michigan!” The main thrust of this initiative is to get people to change out of their incandescent light bulbs for CFLs or Compact Fluorescent Lamps. We are figuring out why this initiative is important, what kinds of differences it can make in our local community, in Michigan and in the world, and what kids can do to help make a difference with respect to this initiative. Part of what we are doing is learning about why it is important that CFLs use less energy. For example, we finished our raps today that explained the Journey of Coal. Here’s a highlight.
