Good afternoon to y’all! Today was the day that the Get City youth got to hear about some projects that me and the other mentors have done, and also of some that the GET City alumni have done. Of course I talked about the Little Free STEM Library, and K and J talked about the heated seats that they worked on. Over all, I think that the GET City members liked listening to what we made in the past. They also asked some really good questions about the projects!
Shortly after we presented, we got asked some questions from the GC members and then we had a snack and took a group photo with all the members of GET City and the GC teachers. Also it was really nice to see Day today as well because I haven’t seen her in like 5 months cause i have been really busy with work! But today was a really fun day teaching all the kids about why I made the Little Free STEM Library and who I made it for. In my point of view, I think that some of the GET City members got really good ideas about what big project they wanna start doing.
We also got asked what we are most proud of. I said that the thing that I’m proud of is when K and J and I went to New York for those presentations back in April. I said that because on the first day I presented a guy, who was in the audience and I didnt know him, he took a video of Angie and I when we were talking, and he tweeted about it.
I’m also glad that he did that because it can get retweeted as much as it wants and it can go through out the world and thats like a good thing cause more and more people can see it even if they aren’t in the us. Well i hope that y’all enjoy this blog.
