Analyzing our surveys

We ended up getting 62 survey responses last week! Thank you everyone!  Today we analyzed the responses to figure out what the surveys were telling us. We know we want to come up with some inventions around safety. But we didn’t really know what people in our community mostly cared about. Our group noticed that the biggest safety issue related to walking around. People who answered the survey said that walking at night, walking the streets and guns or bullies, was a big issue. And we agree. Lots of streetlights do not work, lots of sidewalks are in good condition, and lots of us have to walk in the dark because it gets dark early here this time of year. So one idea that we came up with today was a solar powered light up jacket with an alarm and solar heater (because its also cold here).
